Got Your Goat?

The little metal goat we brought home from our trip to the beach is trying out a spot on the deck railing.  :-)  Someone noted that she looks like she's eating the rose bush.

The goat needs a name, Dayle thinks it's a girl.. any suggestions?

The Pin Oak is losing it's red leaves and they are EVERYWHERE.

Our little pumpkin is hanging in there as we did not carve it.  I did pack up all the Halloween decorations, we took down the lights and the lantern.  In a few days I will put out some turkey decorations for the upcoming Thanksgiving.

As you can see there is very little green left in the leaves.

Our little Japanese Maple is going bare quickly.  I have a bit of a hard time seeing the trees go devoid of leaves.  I'm not a big fan of winter.

The rainy season is upon us, I snapped this from my car in my pool parking lot.

I have an app on my iPhone that converts photos into watercolors, I used it on my last lighthouse image, isn't this neat?  It's called "Waterlogue".

The table display for Halloween.

The pumpkin by the back door.

The Pin Oak.

And so.. it's a swim day.  And the sun is coming out!  What are your plans for the day?  Have a wonderful weekend!  ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  1. Do Lady Goats have horns? I don't really know. I would call her Yachats!

    1. Both male and female goats do have horns but most goat keepers dehorn them when they are young as they're easier to care for and are safer for themselves if they do not have horns. We had one angora goat get her head stuck in the feed rack and she actually was attacked and critically injured by our dachshund and we had to put her down. :-(

  2. I love the new goat, I am so sorry Dayle did not buy me one! Your Halloween looked restful and your trip with Dayle looked just wonderful. Halloween was put away this afternoon and the wee bit of Thanksgiving things were put out. I just got home from early voting, I like to do it in person. I hope you have a wonderful weekend, enjoy all those beautiful leaves.

  3. You r goat is adorable! I'm not very good at choosing names but "Daisy" popped into my head when I read that you were looking for a name for her. I have Waterlogue on my phone too and it creates beautiful pictures and it's fun! Have a great weekend!

  4. What a cute little goat. Unfortunately, I have no imagination when it comes to names. It will be fun finding out what you decide though. Almost all of our leaves are gone here. And you know how I feel about winter. Blah. Have fun at swimming.
    Blessings, Betsy

  6. I'm thinking Nan might be a good name for your goat.

The watercolors make an interesting photo. I downloaded a similar Android app.

  8. Love that water colour app. So clever. I don’t mind the winter as long as it doesn’t rain every day. Love the goat. A knitting and reading day today I feel. B x

  11. I adore the sweet little goat on your railing! I like Lorraine's suggestion!--Gertrude! Your pin oak leaves are beautiful. Our's are falling daily as well. We cleaned the whole yard yesterday only to find it covered again this morning! Love the waterlogue photos. ♥

  12. That's a sweet little goat. I do like goats. Elsie would my suggestion for her name. I have never seen red oak leaves, very pretty. Our oaks turn brown in autumn, a coppery kind of brown but not as attractive as the red oak leaves in your yard. I hope you have a leave blower :-)
