Sweet Pea Blanket Ta-Dah!

I am happy to announce that I put the last stitch in the border of my crochet blanket just this morning.. yay!  To re-cap, the design is by Lucy from the Attic24 blog - she hosted this CAL (Crochet-a-long) and there were people all around the globe participating.  There are even Facebook groups who have followed along on this and it's been an amazing experience.  So, here are a few photos of the finished blanket.  I did a 6 row border, I left off the last color, a purple, as I liked having a bright fuchsia as the last row.

I even enjoyed the border crochet although it took a long time to get around the whole blanket.

A photo op on the bed in our master bedroom.

It really is a sense of accomplishment to finish a blanket.

I used 14 of the 15 colors Lucy chose - I left out a wine burgundy color that I thought was too dark.

A close-up of the border, a sweet design with little points.

It's a wrap!!

OK, I have to jet.. lunch with my sister so I can give her the newsletters I just had printed, I'm the editor of the Friends of Multnomah Falls "Focus on the Falls".  Denise does the mail-out for the group.  Have a super day!!  ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  1. Teresa, it is absolutely gorgeous! It looks so wonderful on your bed and your stitches are so perfect. Congratulations on a beautiful finish.
I hope your lunch was a wonderful one. We have a beautiful sunshiny day here today, but it is very bitterly cold. It was -7F this morning, but that’s still not as cold as it was in Helena. -36F in a friends car this morning on her way to work. Crazy! I’m ready for spring.
    Blessings, Betsy

  6. What a beautiful job you've done on that blanket! Are you sad at all to have finished it? I find I knit mostly for the process of the knitting itself and always have mixed feelings when I finish something.

  15. Your blanket is lovely. So satifying when you finish! I have just finished mine too, although it looks totally different to yours as I didn't buy the pack. I already had a few of the colours and simply bought some extras. I really like the pattern and will use it for some other things, like cushions.

  19. Beautiful. I did the color change one and I decided I liked the two rows of green around the edge. Although I loved all her colors, I wanted the green edging only. lol And she is so sweet about 'do your own thing with my pattern'.
