🌧 Shawl Progress & Rainy Days ☔

🌧 I've not made a lot of progress on my Sunday Shawl but have gotten into the purple-y color.. I lay it on top of my pink shawl to know how far I need to go before starting my border.  A few more inches!

My pink shawl which I wear each time I go out in the Spring and Summer.

Our cozy bed, I love having skylights over our bed so you know immediately what the weather is in the morning.

My white Lilac is getting nearer to full bloom.. I can't wait to smell them and cut a bouquet for the dining table.

It's been raining since these pretty daffodils bloomed..

My Breck's catalog came and I need to order a creamy white daffodil called "Mount Hood".  So many unique varieties!

It makes me so happy to see all the trees and bushes are greening up.. the worst part of winter is all the gray and brown naked trees.  Our painter is putting a fresh coat of red paint on the barn.. this end was just done and the back side.. all that is left is the front side that faces the road.

My "Mom" Christmas Cactus is producing a few blooms now.  I just love these.

I'm going to make a big pot of spaghetti soon.. with ground beef and Italian sausage.  What are you up to today?
((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  1. Your shawl is coming along beautifully - it reminds me of a sunset. Our lilacs bloom in May here. The town I live in has lilacs everywhere, so it is always a beautiful couple of weeks when they are blooming. My beloved grandmother had two beautiful, large lilacs outside her kitchen window when I was growing up. One was purple and one white. Whenever I see lilacs I think of her.

  2. Lovely flowers, I love daffodils and grown them here too. Your shawl is coming along lovely and do love your pink one too. I have a beautiful purple one which lives at city place ♥ Today we have done our usual walk down into town (postoffice) and back up the hill ☺

  3. In spite of the rain showers your Daffodils are so pretty, and the barn looks great! Yesterday I cleaned the debris from around the Calla Lilly plants in the front door garden. There are two small Tulips getting ready to bloom in that garden patch but I'm not sure what color they will be. Yay for your progress on your new shawl. You are much speedier on your projects than I am with my projects. I met with the baby blanket making group this morning and got a few more rows done on the blanket that I started this past fall! I just got back from a "happy" hour at the clubhouse. We were supposed to bring whatever we wanted to drink. I brought a cup of hot water and the lady sitting across from me brought a little bottle of ice water and we enjoyed happy conversation with those around us whether they were drinking alcoholic beverages or not. :-) Love to you and yours xx

  4. Hello Teresa. Lovely photos. We have a lilac though it doesn't seem to do well. Lots of lovely blossom here - so pretty. Sun is shining this morning. I feel better than I did and need to get out. Not been out since the Craft Fair! I'd said I wouldn't do another last time, gave in. Regretted it on so many levels! It was to help local Community Centre funds but it is too much work and there were other niggly things that upset me. :-(
Tomorrow I am due to go to the Stampin Up event here in UK. Meet up with line minded friends and have lots of fun! Hugs Anne x

  5. Oh I am so jealous of your blooms. We had snow yesterday. It didn't stick tho. Today is stormy with lightening and I like that , you know! I want to tell you I have followed up on your sage advice and am feeling better that I spoke up kindly about how I felt . You know what i mean. Your crocheting is just lovely.

  6. Your shawl is coming along so nicely. Love the pink one too. Don't lilacs have the BEST fragrance? I love that scent. Your barn is so pretty seen through the branches.

  7. Teresa, your shawl is made with such happy colors. I can see why you'll be using it during the coming season. I really love that red barn! Very iconic and oh so pretty. We've been putting compost around the flower beds today. I just love spring and it sure looks so pretty around your place.

  9. Pretty shawl. Everything is blooming around here. The last hurrah before summer heat sets in. Then it will be back to the colors of desert drab. :/ Have a good Friday!

  11. Your pink shawl is beautiful and has the perfect colours for spring. I'm really loving the deeper, brighter colours of your latest shawl too and look forward to seeing the finished product. The blooms on your Mum's cactus are just exquisite. xx Susan
