Merry Christmas - 2019

Hello and warm greetings from our cozy little farmhouse in the countryside of Oregon!  I hope you had a wonderful holiday time in your corner of the world.  o<[]:{D

We had our son's family over for Christmas dinner last night.. our grandson Hayden was thrilled that he got to light the fire in the hearth.  :-)

In an effort that we not get sucked into the television, I found a fire with Christmas songs on it.. you could even hear the blaze crackle.  :-)

When the kids arrived they brought more packages.. one last snap before they are opened! :-)

Are you tired of seeing similar photos yet?  LOL!

The boys spent the night and enjoyed a carefree day of playing online games with their friends.

Dinner is served!  Dayle made a pot roast, Kristi helped out by peeling and cutting up the carrots and potatoes and boiling them.  I lifted my glass of sparkling cider and toasted the family and told them how much I loved them and how they made our holiday perfect.  Clinking glasses all around and general agreement.  :-)

Then Kristi passed out the presents.  She spoiled little Mocha with a pink soccer ball, a cute little gnome and Starbarks stuffed toys.  Mocha was in heaven!

The guys.  The boys loved their gifts and seemed very happy.  We gave T&K a lighted city like the one we got and love.  Kristi gave me a Grandma ornament and 2 really neat hand-blown glass pumpkins.  They gave Dayle a few shirts and some fun candy items and a box of wonderful homemade cookies, fudge and truffles.  Yum.

Travis was trying out some of the fudge given to us by our friend Anna.. Mocha was hoping for a sample.. :-)

Before the kids even left Mocha had disemboweled the gnome.

She also has done a number on the cute Starbarks Peppermint Mocha.  :-)

This morning Dayle and I opened our gifts to each other and we gave this one to Mocha.  I wonder how long this one will last?

Dayle gave me this cute little pink glass nesting bunny.  I gave him 2 striped t-shirts and an organizer for his letters and pens, etc.  :-)

Here's wishing you the very best, sending warmest wishes your way.  Thank you for visiting today - and have the happiest of a new year in 2020!  ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  2. It looks like you had a wonderful Christmas Eve and Christmas. Your dinner looks great too and such a wonderful array of gifts. Chloe has never chewed her toys but little Sophie does the same thing Mocha does. Except her bunny. She doesn't chew it. :-)
We had a quiet day. We face-timed with all of the kids and Tara's parents in London. Neal and Jenny came for a ham dinner then the four of us went to see Mr. Rogers at the movie theater. It's the first time that we've done that on Christmas and I was amazed aat how busy the theater was. It was packed! 18 theaters and they were all sold out! On Christmas! Who would have thought? I just didn't want to stay in an empty house with no kids.
It's all over way too fast. Dennis gave me a very nice gift card to Hobby Lobby. I gave him some clothes. We were both happy and content.
Wishing you and Dayle a wonderful day after.
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  5. It sounds like you had a wonderful time with your family and dear Mocha. My boys got lots of hard bones and two leather indestructible toys from a friends that were in the garbage bin 20 minutes after they were opened because all the stuffing was out of them. So glad you had a wonderful Christmas.

  6. So glad you had a lovely time, and I enjoyed reading about it. I texted back and forth with loved ones throughout the day, and Elisabeth and Gary came over mid day. We shared a roast beef dinner and for dessert, cookies and candy that had been sent to us. We completed two puzzles while watching two Christmas movies, too. ((hugs))
