Blanketing Along

Hey there, thanks for stopping by!  I finished my 4th group of colors in my Dahlia afghan.  One more to go and I'm done, then the border to do.  I am rather in love with the flame inspired colors and stitch.  Lucy did a good job designing this one!

I've enjoyed the light to dark ombre effect of the colors this way.

This was me over the last few days.

I took a break and had some toast for lunch, lightly sprinkled with cinnamon sugar from Penzey's Spice Co.

Dayle was gone yesterday at some appointments and errands, so Mocha curled up on my ankle waiting for her daddy to come home.

This was my view yesterday morning and afternoon.. quiet and sunshine in the dining room.

Do you have any exciting weekend plans?  Not us!  And we're fine with that.  LOL!  ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  1. Wonderful progress on your blanket, Teresa! Thanks so much for the photos so we can enjoy admiring it. I got another sunrise photo last week that reminds me of the beautiful colors in your blanket. I plan to include the photo in my next post. Exciting weekend plans: Working on taxes, worship time, and watching the Super Bowl 😮Hope you and yours have a happy weekend! 🤗❤️

  3. Your blanket is lovely. I think that stitch is perfect for those colors. It does truly look like flames.
I've been crocheting on my retangular granny blanket off an on this week, along with a knitted shawl. I switch back and forth depending on the light available.
We're having breakfast with friends as we usually do on Saturday morning. Not sure what other plans for tomorrow. Although it's supposed to rain so whatever we do will be inside. :-)
Wishing you a lovely weekend. I love the bright view you had as you crocheted.
    Blessings and love,
    Betsy

  4. Lovely blanket. I've just finished the Moorland blanket (also one of Attic 24's patterns) for my daughter. I'm now making a Lost in Time shawl (Mijo Crochet), using the left-over yarn. This one's definitely for me! xx

  5. Your blanket is looking gorgeous! Such warm colours at such a cold and dismal time of year. I've been following Lucy's blog, although I'm not making the blanket. I think I might have mentioned that I'm making a giant granny using her Moorland blanket stripe sequence. The wind has whipped up again so a quiet weekend for us. Best, Jane x

  6. I have to say I've become quite the homebody. No plans here. A dreary day anyways with pale grayish skies. Your blanket is so pretty -- like a winter sunset. Happy February!

  9. A absolutely love the colors in your blanket, just beautiful. I've been knitting hats. We are going to do a bit of grocery shopping later this afternoon, then attending a hockey game at the college. Tomorrow afternoon we will watch our grandson's hockey game and then go to our son's to watch the Super Bowl game. Nothing too exciting but it keeps us busy!

  11. Lovely cozy blanket. I have a blanket over my legs right now while on laptop. Chilly indoors once sun starts going closer to sunset. Need to turn heat up. This weekend was nothing much but a make and take party with Young Living Essential oils that I have...fun with two friends. Phil and I am teaching Sunday school this month. It was a good but slightly noisy kids...a few boys, but it was good over all. Not even watching the super bowl as it's not on Roku tv, which is ok with us. Have a great week!
