Dayle took little Miss Mocha out for a walk on his birthday morning and brought back this photographic masterpiece. :-) Happy Birthday, honey!!
He also got this pretty ocean image.
I took this one of the pretty morning with clouds and blue sky peeking through - standing in the open door breathing in the sea air and enjoying the sound of the crashing waves.
My wonderful sister Denise brought us some of her homemade split pea soup and a loaf of her sourdough bread when she came to visit. Dayle tried out our new electric grill pan and made some grilled cheese sandwiches to go with the soup. OMG.. it was the best split pea soup of my entire life. She made it in her InstantPot, so I ordered the cookbook she used and we'll make it when we return home.
We moved our TV to the kitchen island this time so it's easier to view.
This is my view from my easy chair. 💙💚💛💜💖
Our cozy bedroom.
Chef Dayle making chicken alfredo with peas and mushrooms using a new kind of tubular pasta called Bucatini, topped with grated cheddar cheese. Nummy!
Dinner with a view, can't beat that. :-)
We were relaxing so I decided to start a new little pumpkin designed by Lucy at Attic24 blog. Here I am getting started. I heard a ding that an email had come through and lo and behold, it was Lucy leaving a comment on my last blog post while I was immersed in HER blog following her pattern! I got a huge kick out of that and thought once again that ESP is a real thing. I love you, Lucy!!
I had to check my progress and held it up and the sun was shining through it and *snap*...
A day of crocheting and this is the pumpkin, stuffed and sewn together.. now to do the stem and a curly tendril.
Ta-DAH!
I put it in my shell dish for a photo shoot with my other crocheted pumpkins.
I had to share this on my Facebook group - "Jadeite Junkies". :-)
Another day in paradise.
We have the door open as I type this and the waves are crashing on the sand, the gulls are calling and fresh sea air is filling the caravan. See the surfer below?
I looked over and this is what I saw.. miss Mocha making herself comfortable on the sofa with her head on one of my crocheted pillows.
Dayle took my iPhone down when he walked the dog and captured the US Coast Guard helicopter flying by to keep an eye on the coastline.
Looking south.. not a cloud in the sky.
On Dayle's birthday, yesterday, we decided to go on an outing and headed south to Seal Rock, where we got ice cream - he had Bordeaux Cherry for his birthday dessert. This is a snap of the rocks there.
The sun lowered and we got a snap of it.
The sky turned very red and the color lingered for a long time. It was so pretty.
Dayle spied the moon and told me so I took the big Lumix and snapped this image of it reflecting on the sea.
A zoom and *swoon*.. look at the craters! I believe it will be a full moon on Halloween! I hope it's cloudless.
Thank you for visiting and for the very sweet comments. I have something to show you on my Wednesday post. Treasure that Dayle found for me. Can you guess what it is?
((hugs)), Teresa :-)
Oh my goodness, an overload of loveliness. The views! The sky! Little Mocha curled up on that cushion! Paradise indeed. I am wishing Dayle a very happy birthday for yesterday, what a lovely spot to celebrate it. Bordeaux cherry ice-cream sounds divine. The pumpkin is brilliant, that curly tendril is a perfect finishing touch. I am intrigued by the treasure. But hopeless at guessing things. Maybe a heart-shaped pebble? CJ xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful day - the perfect place to spend a birthday with a day filled with great contentment - blessings!
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures - perfect to use as postcards :)
Happy birthday Dayle 😃 Lots of lovely pics to enjoy here Teresa. Neat of Lucy to comment while you viewing hers. Enjoy and look forward to more. Cute pumpkin
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Dear Dayle...happy birthday to yoU!!!! Hi Sweet Mocha. Teresa, those pumpkins are wonderful. I'll guess Dayle got you: a lovely old wooden crochet hook?
ReplyDeleteEverything is just so spectacular. I would never want to leave that gorgeous place.
ReplyDeleteYour pumpkin is so sweet! You got a comment from THE Lucy? I am in awe!!! I am also a big fan of hers. Araignee
🎶May your Happy Birthday celebration continue dear Dayle🎶 Thanks so much for sharing the wonderful narrative and photos you two!! I love how your little pumpkin turned out, Teresa, and hope to try to make one some day.🧶I enjoyed attending a Zoom meeting yesterday and one today and always feel like it is a miracle when I manage to Zoom how, when, and where I aim to do so! Please give sweet Mocha some love pats from me. I read this is supposed to be a good time to see meteor showers. Have you looked for any? ❤️🤗🙏
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! xx
ReplyDeletePS. I'm guessing some gorgeous sea glass.
Happy Birthday to Dayle. Looks like you are celebrating in style. Love all of your beautiful photos of the sea, sky and the moon! Fabulous! Also, that pumpkin you made is so cute! I wish I could crochet like that! Enjoy yourself and stay safe!
ReplyDeleteWhile it is sunny and has warmed up here, I would much rather be sharing your sun at the beach! The moon picture is out of this world! (Could not resist the pun!) It is wonderful that you are enjoying such fine weather, too. October used to be kind of a secret at the coast, but no more - it sure was busy when we were there last weekend. Love your new pumpkin - you are so talented in so many mediums!
ReplyDeleteI'm amazed at the consistently wonderful weather you're having this trip. Mocha looks as if she's made for camping in your caravan. Dayle still cooks up some amazing dishes even while at the coast. We've gotten ice cream at Seal Rock before. It was SO good. I'm jealous of you my friend. I shouldn't admit it, but I am. Twice a year you get to go to one of our favorite places on earth and enjoy it. Dennis is now thinking he may have to work a few more years because of health insurance. If he has to work until 70 our dreams of traveling in our trailer probably won't be happening. We're going to keep plugging away and hoping.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
I agree with CJ it is an overload of loveliness. I don't think I would want to go anywhere with those views, so beautiful. I love your little pumpkins, perfect for this time of year.
ReplyDeleteHello Teresa. I loved seeing your beautiful photos and your amazing home away from home! Mocha is adorable! And your little crocheted pumpkin is so cute. I thought of you when I saw this crocheted blanket pattern: https://m.facebook.com/thorudottir/posts/3253285868097557 I'm just beginning this as my new project. Enjoy your vacation. Pat 😽
