The Stockings Were Hung...

...by the chimney with care.  I hung the cranberry beads across the mantel, hung a few more ornaments, Dayle carried empty bins back to the attic, pillows put just so. Now all that needs to be done are the ashes cleaned from the fireplace and logs laid and lit.  Then.. THEN.. wrapping some presents to put under the tree.

When I inherited this etagere last year the only place to put it was in the corner where the tree goes.  I worried how it would work out.  But the tree looks fine right by the cabinet.

I am late to post as I had my procedure today.  But I wanted to thank all of you who wished me luck in the comments on my last post.  You are really wonderful blog friends!  Yesterday was fasting and then drinking half a gallon of icky stuff.. this morning the other half of icky stuff.  Then off to the hospital.. the procedure.. and the good news.. 4 polyps were removed but nothing looked bad.  I am so relieved!  I spent so many wakeful hours worrying.  If you haven't been checked.. you need to do this.  Just so you know, my husband is a colon cancer survivor so.... and I want to thank my dear husband for helping me through this.

((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  2. I was so glad to read your news in the comment on my blog. I was praying for you. You know I had 3 of those "procedures" in 6 weeks two years ago this month. Not the way I wanted to spend Christmas month, but they took care of some things and I'm scheduled for another one next year. We'll see. Not if I don't have any health insurance.
Your tree looks absolutely stunning with your etagere. They look like they were made to be together. And your Jim Shore set is all together now! I always look forward to seeing it.
Take care and hello to Dayle. Kisses for Mocha.
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  3. Everything looks so very beautiful and festive. I had a feeling that's the sort of procedure you were having. My husband went through the exact same thing last year and thankfully hasn't had any problems since they removed his polyps. Take care.

  17. You are so right. This uncomfortable test needs to be done. Hooray for Dayle.
Your house could be on a Christmas Tour Teresa! We finally put up two trees. Usually we do three, but Fireman's back is sore and I only dragged two out of the crawl space. Still they are lovely all lit with white lights. We had beautiful snow this morning.
