Bunnies and Eggs

Greetings, friends! I packed away my leprechauns yesterday and brought out my Easter decorations. This egg platter arrived yesterday just in time for me to arrange my crocheted eggs on it.

The dining table is where I lay out my seasonal decor, a lot of people concentrate on their fireplace mantel but ours is in our less used living room and this is where we can enjoy it most.

I am looking forward to making a dozen deviled eggs for this platter.. Dayle and I looooove them.

Have you crocheted or knitted an egg?  It's rather fun!

And my litter of crocheted bunny peeps.. lol.

These sweet little figurines are called Easter Parade.

A new addition to my vase collection.  It's small, only 6 inches tall or so.

A happy aromatic companion next to my easy chair.  Dayle's socks are photo-bombers.

Dayle's St. Patrick's dinner he made for us, corned beef cooked in the InstantPot, boiled carrots, potatoes and cabbage with onions.  It turned out spectacularly.

I posted on Tuesday, thinking it was Wednesday, did you notice?  Betsy did!!  LOL!  Also, thank you to Brenda King who commented and recommended the "Fishermen's Friends" movie to us.  It was WONDERFUL and we loved it.  It's set in a charming fishing village in England and a group of men who sing sea shanties.

Any other movie or series suggestions?  ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  2. Have you seen the TV series "All Creatures Great and Small". It is about a young country vet in the UK. I thoroughly enjoyed Season One and am looking forward to seeing Season two. It is quite humorous but also includes some romance. I always look forward to seeing your seasonal table decorations and this one doesn't disappoint at all. Gorgeous little bunnies and the multicoloured crocheted eggs are lovely. Your new Jadeite egg platter in pride of place is another wonderful addition to your collection. I do love the little ornaments too most of all the little boy with the lamb. Keep well Amanda x

  4. I’m glad you liked “Fisherman’s Friends.” Another I think you would like on Netflix is “Ladies in Black.” It’s set in Australia in the 1950s and is so interesting and lovely. Plus, the 1950s fashions are wonderful.

  5. What a pretty egg tray and your yarny eggs look perfect on it. I have a bunch of peeps somewhere but they're all packed up in storage. I do have a Dollar Tree sign hanging outside on the RV. I'm leaving the day after Easter so I'll have to put all of my decorations away before that.
Your new hobnail jadeite vase is perfect for the daffodils. Everything looks so springy and happy.
Hope the three of you have a lovely weekend my friend.
    Blessings and love,
    Betsy

  7. Those eggs are so pretty! I was tempted to join Arne and Carlos in their egg KAL but this year in the kitchen remodel mess I would have no place to display them. Maybe next year.

  11. Dear Teresa, your table setting is so colorfull, cute and funny! I am looking forward to see your deviled eggs on it! The eastern figures are so so nice to look at. I did crochet easter eggs, quiet a lot, but I don't know where they are now. As children we painted easter eggs every year, untill the grandchildren of my mother appeared, and my brothers and sisters still do it with their grandchildren! :-) Your little vase is wonderfull, and goes so nice with the daffodils! Lots of love, Janneke.

  13. Love your spring decorations. I dug mine out but haven't taken down St. Pat's decor yet... I'll get there! I love your crocheted eggs and they look so nice in your Jadeite. We love deviled eggs too and our son makes the very best. Whenever he asks, "What can I bring?" I always ask for his eggs! Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

  15. If you've not seen The Dig, or The Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, both are wonderful picks. I love your jadeite and those little crocheted 'marshmallow bunnies' are adorable.

  17. I am late to the party, nearly missed your post. Easter is just around the corner, thanks for the reminder, I didn't realise just how soon. I might colour some eggs this year, maybe I can talk the boys into assisting. Boiled coloured eggs is my devilled egg alternative but I looked up a recipe for the latter, it sounds delicious. Your daffodils look stunning, they really are a good fit for the pretty little jadeite vase. Have a lovely week x
